Gratitude has become the anchor that grounds me, especially on the hard days. Over time, I created a simple daily gratitude prayer that helps me focus on the things that matter most, even when life feels uncertain. It is a short prayer I usually say before bed and anytime I need a moment of calm or clarity.
While it is deeply personal to me, I know the power of sharing hope. So I’m offering it here for anyone who needs a quiet, comforting ritual. I am also sharing a free printable of the prayer.

I created a printable version of this prayer so you can keep it nearby. Whether you say it word-for-word or make it your own, I hope it brings you the same sense of peace it brings me.
Why This Daily Gratitude Prayer Is Important to Me
I was raised Catholic, and while I’m thankful for many of the values I learned growing up, life has taken me in a different spiritual direction. I found myself stepping away from the structure of organized religion. But even as I let go of certain traditions, my connection to God never left. If anything, it deepened in a more personal way.
This daily gratitude prayer grew out of a desire to still speak to God, to express thanks, and to remain rooted in something hopeful. It’s not fancy or formal. Just a few lines I say at night before I fall asleep, when I’m overwhelmed, or when I simply want to pause and acknowledge a special moment.
What I love about this prayer is that it reminds me of what I have – even on the days when everything feels like too much. It helps me feel hopeful, especially when the days don’t go as planned.
It recently occurred to me this prayer might be something others could relate to as well. I created a free printable you can download and use in your own way: say it word-for-word, adapt it to fit your beliefs, or simply let it inspire a few moments of reflection.

My daily gratitude prayer isn’t perfect. It’s just honest. It helps me focus on being thankful for what my kids and I have – instead of on what we don’t have. I believe we all need moments like that, especially in a chaotic world.
If this prayer resonates with you, I hope you’ll download the free printable and keep it nearby.
